Our Story: Roots, Friendship, and a Shared Dream

Galina Taylor, originally from Tver, Russia, discovered her love for dogs at a young age. After bringing home her first Bullmastiff in the mid-1990s, she embarked on a lifelong calling to preserve this noble breed—founding Marconian Bullmastiffs with precision, passion, and purpose.

Her childhood friend, Olga Contant, also a native of Russia, shared her early days in competitive breeding—initially with Rough Collies. Together, they fell in love with Bullmastiffs by the late 1990s and emigrated to the United States in 1999. Their lifelong bond became the foundation for their joint kennels: Marconian on the East Coast, and Ridgetop on the West Coast.

In 2007, they officially launched Ridgetop Bullmastiffs in partnership with Marconian. Olga, now based in Tampa, Florida, brought decades of breeding experience across Russia, Europe, and the U.S.—a span of over three decades.

Joining them in both life and breeding is Ronie Whittall, who works closely alongside Olga in raising, shaping, and stewarding their dogs—from whelping through show ring triumphs.

Selective breeding, thoughtful socialization, and a commitment to sound structure and temperament are the bedrock of our program. Each litter is carefully planned and assessed—valuing correct type, proud spirit, and elegant build—prioritized by birthplace (Marconian first in Galina’s home; Ridgetop first in Olga’s).

Ronie’s vital role extends from daily puppy care to ring preparation—ensuring every pup is confident, well-mannered, and ready to shine.

Achievements That Define Us

Our dogs have earned top honors and set high benchmarks on both sides of the country:

- GCHG Marconian N’ Ridgetop’s Thunder Road (“Bruce”) stood out as the ABA Sire of the Year for three straight years and achieved Gold Level ROM status.
- GCHS Ridgetop N’ Marconian’s Aventador (“Hugo”) has been celebrated as a top-ranking show dog—#1 in breed and #2 all-breed as of mid‑2022—and is owner-handled by Olga and Ronie.

Whether whelped in Missouri under Marconian or Florida under Ridgetop, our pups are raised to combine the breed’s noble heritage with modern refinement and soundness.
